Assessment Notices

The Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC) has sent out assessment notices the week of November 17th, 2008 that the Township will use for 2009 taxation purposes.  If you have assessment questions or concerns, please see our newly updated assessment page on the Finance/Tax page to the left or click here.

Corunna Splash Pad

Fire Safety Plans

Information has been added to the emergency services page for building owners and employers in the Township on fire safety plans.  They are a requirement for most buildings and occupancies, and they help ensure the effective utilization of fire safety systems, equipment and procedures in a building to protect people from fire.  Click here for the Emergency Services > Fire Safety Plans page.

High Speed Internet Service for Un/Under Serviced Rural Areas

In the fall of 2007,St Clair Township partnered with the Townships of Dawn-Euphemia and Enniskillen and the County of Lambton to secure Provincial funding from a Ministry of Agriculture and Food to help finance the provision of high speed internet to unserviced or under serviced rural areas. The successful proposal was Bell Aliant. Work has been processing at the six tower sites and Bell Aliant have advised the system should be completed by the end of June. Following initial testing, the system should be available to subscribers in early July. Bell is developing a marketing plan that will involve newspaper ads as well community news vehicles such as our own St Clair Beacon. For further information:

Township Profile

We are a lower tier municipality located in the County of Lambton in the Province of Ontario, Canada.  We are committed to providing efficient, effective, and economical  services to our taxpayers.  

Home to approximately 15,000 residents in southwestern Ontario, the Township of St. Clair is the perfect place to live, work and play.  We have a thriving industrial park, as well as many other large industries located in other parts of the Township.  We are within 15 minutes of a border crossing to the United States, as well as within 8 hours driving distance of approximately 22 million people.
